FORMATION

Aspirancy: The purpose of the Aspirancy period is to offer the young women the possibility to deepen their Baptismal Consecration, assess their own vocational plan and help them to respond to God’s call freely. The aspirants come from different states of India. The duration of Apirancy is usually one year according to the maturity of each individual. The live together in the common formation house in Bangalore.

Postulancy:The postulants are the young women who have actually tested their vocational journey, proved to have valid reasons based on faith and possess the qualities required by our consecrated life.
The Postulancy is the immediate preparation for the novitiate period. It is characterized by a more intense human and Christian formation. The aim of this period is to help the young women to deepen the call of God through the experiences of prayer, community and apostolic life. The duration of Postulancy is one to two years according to the maturity of each person.

Novitiate:The novitiate is the privileged and irreplaceable introduction to the Religious life. During this time the novice through prayer, study and practice of the evangelical counsels, grow in love for Christ and acquire a more realistic experience of the essential requirements of the religious life.
With the study of the life and Charism of the Founder, of the Constitutions and history of the Congregation, the novice will assimilate the spirit of the Institute in its original essence and in its dynamism. The novice, under the guidance of the directress, in silence and prayer, in the likeness of the Baptist, prepares for the proper mission of our religious family.

Juniorate:The Juniorate is the period of temporary vows. It is particularly important and delicate time for the vocational maturing and for gradual preparation for perpetual profession.
The purpose of this period is to offer to the young professed the ability to test and develop in real life their vocational choice to make it irreversible; strengthening the union with God in the experience of pastoral charity; complete the specific professional training; allow the Institute to verify the eligibility of the professed to issue the following temporary vows and in particular her perpetual profession.

Ongoing Formation:Ongoing Formation is a requirement by the reality of our rapidly changing contemporary world. It is a time of deepening one’s commitment and renewing spiritual and apostolic life. On the one hand we need constant updating: on the other hand, every human person is incomplete, grows towards adulthood in Christ. Every year courses are arranged according to the age group to live the YES to a life long commitment. These courses help to become well integrated persons and also for the effective fulfillment of the mission of the Congregation
