Opening a community in Chennai was a recommendation from the III Provincial Chapter. For the sisters who travel frequently for school-related reasons and for those who stop by en-route to the north, north-east missions and international travels, it would be ideal to have this convent to serve as a transit house. The process of opening a new community in Chennai has been on the process since last two years. On 24 February 2025, the land is registered from the Good Shepherd Sisters. On 29th June 2025 this house was blessed and inaugurated. Two sisters are working in the Montfort School. Sisters actively engage themselves in the parish ministry. They are currently studying the possibility of social work through evening tuition and awareness program
